Hormone Replacement Therapy: The Bioidentical Approach

Hormone replacement therapy (HRT) using estrogen, progesterone, and testosterone is common practice in both primary care and medical specialist clinics, but not all hormone treatment is alike. At Midwest Hormone Centers, our hormone specialists use the bioidentical hormone replacement therapy (BHRT) model to deliver safe, effective relief from symptoms associated with hormonal deficiency or imbalance. This model incorporates the use of natural hormones that are identical to those produced in the human body, a situation that is not always the case when pharmaceutical hormones are prescribed.

Because Midwest Hormone Center treatments are bioidentical, the effects are the same as those achieved by natural hormone production. As natural hormone production decreases with aging, the symptoms common to hormone depletion become more apparent.
