Where are the Midwest Hormone Centers locations?

Midwest Hormone Centers have been serving our clients since 2015. Our current locations are 16139 Foster Street in Overland Park (913-413-0016) , 1420 Wakarusa Drive, Suite 102 in Lawrence (785-424-7302), and 4801 S. Cliff Avenue, Suite 204 in Independence (816-832-8137). Our centers are generally open Monday through Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM, but please call ahead to verify.

How is the Process Started?

The first step is to submit your contact information by completing an online assessment (located on our Website ). Once we have received your assessment form, a member of our clinical team will review your symptoms and then follow up with you for scheduling or to address any questions. Additionally, you can call one of the centers directly for questions or to schedule an appointment for a consultation or treatment.

What Happens at the First Appointment?

Your first visit includes a review of your medical histories, medications, prior treatments, and available lab results followed by a brief physical exam. If recent lab results are not available, a comprehensive lab panel will be drawn. A body composition analysis will also be performed, and the results will be reviewed with you. The provider will then spend the remainder of the visit discussing your symptoms and the available treatment options.  Reasonable expectations for treatment will be established; you will not be pressured into any specific type of treatment.  These visits often take over an hour to complete so please schedule accordingly.

Can Treatment at Midwest Hormone Centers be Billed to Insurance?

We do not bill to insurance for most of the services provided at Midwest Hormone Centers. The primary reason for not accepting insurance is that insurance carriers offer incomplete and inconsistent coverage for bioidentical hormone replacement and related therapies. Attempting to adhere to a multitude of different insurance carriers’ policies regarding coverage would result in potential limitations to our standard of care.  However, it is possible to self-file with your heath insurance provider.  If you have insurance and would like to file any part of our treatment, we can provide  the necessary forms that include the appropriate Diagnosis and Treatment Codes. These forms will allow self-filing to insurance following the process described by the specific plan. We do accept HSA/FSA funds as a form of payment.

Is There an Initial Cost?

Our services do require an initial payment. We will discuss any up front costs with you prior to providing service. There is no long term commitment for services. Payment plans are available by arrangement.

What are the Payment Options?

We accept Health Savings Accounts/Flex Spending Accounts, cash, checks, and credit cards.
